Guide to Managing Junk Email in Microsoft Outlook

This guide is intended for users of Microsoft Outlook 2019/365 who use the Exchange protocol.

In the application, go to the Home tab and click on Junk, then select Junk Email Options.

A window will appear where you can switch to the Blocked Senders or Safe Senders tab (1.) to manage blocked or trusted email addresses.

To add a new entry, click Add, then enter the email address you want to block or mark as trusted. Use the format trusted@address.sk for individual addresses, or enter a whole domain like trusteddomain.sk to apply the rule to all addresses from that domain. Click OK to confirm.

After reviewing your list of addresses, click OK (3.) again to save the changes.

If you receive a message that you consider to be Junk, right-click on the message, choose Junk, and then click Block Sender.

This will create a rule to block the sender and automatically delete the message from your Inbox.

If a message is delivered to your Junk Email folder but you consider it to be legitimate, you can add the sender to your list of safe senders as follows:

Right-click on the message, choose Junk, and then select Not Junk.

This will add the sender to your list of safe senders and move the message to your Inbox.
