To host personal websites at the Technical University of Košice, we use the modern Plesk web hosting interface, which allows students, faculty, and staff to easily manage their websites without requiring advanced technical knowledge.
Plesk offers a clear and user-friendly web interface where you can manage files, databases, domains, email accounts, SSL certificates, and security settings. With support for standard technologies such as PHP, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, FTP/FTPS, HTTPS, and .NET, the platform is suitable for a wide range of personal projects — from simple static pages and blogs to more advanced web applications.
The service also includes support for CRON jobs, daily backups with restore options, visitor statistics, and integrated protection via ModSecurity and antivirus scanning. Websites are accessible via both IPv4 and IPv6, and are protected against DDoS attacks.
All TUKE employees and students are entitled to request a personal website.
