IP Addresses
Every network device (such as a computer, notebook, network printer, or network drive) connected to the TUNET Computer Network (hereafter referred to as TUNET CN) must be registered in the TUNET IP address database.
An IP address is a unique number assigned to each device that communicates using the Internet Protocol (IP).
Example of an IP address within TUNET in Košice: 147.232.XXX.XXX, in Prešov – 193.87.XXX.XXX.

The MAC address is a unique identifier assigned to every network device at the time of manufacture (network card).
